RE: A Rookies Tale

One thing you should of had with the hotdog vendors was a sign that read "ENTERTAINMENT HAS ARRIVED". Happy Camping.

RE: CAMPSITE IN ORLANDO

helperzack, We're booked on one of the pull thru sites at Lake Louisa, I think it is #4. We're only staying there a couple of days before heading to Ft. Wilderness. Hopefully it will be nice and relaxing.

RE: Dometic Fridge not cooling on propane

I can't remember the last time it ran on gas. The trailer was not plugged into electricity. Before we were heading on a trip I wanted to cool down the fridge in order to place some food in there for traveling. So it wasn't even hooked up to the truck. Maybe the battery thing is the issue Thanks,

Dometic Fridge not cooling on propane

Turned on the propane and then turned the fridge to auto. The light indicated switched to gas. The fridge never got cold and the light indicated when checked again, attention was need. Why wouldn't the fridge get cold with propane? And yes, there is propane in the tanks. No electricity. Hopefully it's something simple, (operator error) :?

RE: CAMPSITE IN ORLANDO

We're going to Lake Louisa State Park on the 2nd. We'll let you know how it is. It's in Cleremont just outside of Disney.

RE: The SAGA continues

We now have 2 sets of trailer keys. One set stays in the truck. It has the keyless entry so we can always get to them. We locked our camper keys inside once. Lucky we weren't far from the dealership and they gave us the master key to open our camper. If we remove the keys from the truck, they go right back in. No putting them down and saying I'll return them later.

RE: GAS Prices!!! I sold my rig, my F-250 is next

We've thought of selling fiver and F350 diesel dually. Not only are gas prices out of this world but we now have a 16 yo driving. Insurance 2400.00 per year to add her and she has a GPA 3.8 and drivers ed under her belt. It just never stops. We'll just keep on keeping on and pray for a break in the gas and insurance. Like someone said we'll just eat out less, etc..... and camp closer to home.

RE: Leak Repair Question...Would you settle for this

We couldn't figure out what was leaking at our window. We took a hose out and tried to simulate the rain. The weep holes in the windows were leaking like crazy. The weep holes were sealed by accident when they were painted at the manuf. Opened the weep holes and no more water inside the RV.

RE: slide leak

I'll check that out next time. I'm really dreading having to replace any seals. The wetness was on both sides of the slide on the carpet. It's happened twice.

slide leak

I noticed there was water on the carpet on either side of the slide when it is extended after a rain. Does this mean the slide seal is bad? I'd appreciate any advice.

RE: Got to wash the 5er

Upper 70's here today in Sunny Florida. Lucy (our fiver) got her bath a couple of weeks ago when it was in the 80's. :) Happy Camping!

RE: Newby

My brother-in-law had to replace the rear window after clipping it with the trailer trying to get into a tight spot. He has a sliding hitch now.

RE: New to RVing.

I too tow our fiver down the road, but I leave the backing up to my DH. I'd like to learn to do that too some day. Love to camp!

RE: New to RVing.

Congratulations!! Great RV. When we went to pick up our fiver, we took our video camera and taped all the instructions the tech gave us. My DH asked all the questions and I taped everything. It was our first RV and we knew nothing. Thank goodness we did because I was so excited, I forgot everything they explained. :) Happy Travels
